Fixed the CSS for the img tag. Tweaked preprocess_page in alpha. Added a element validator for the primary region setting so that primary regions can only be assiged to zones with a overall sum of region widths that is smaller than the zone column count. Remove _section from the sections in the .tpl and in the preprocessor. Tweaked the overall performance slightly.
