Simplenews is a simple newsletter module which allows both anonymous as well as registered users to subscribe. Subscription to the newsletter is managed through a block. Anonymous subscribers are offered a confirmation email. Newsletters are stored in a "sent items" or "drafts" folder, depending on the send status. Links to taxonomy overview pages and RSS-feeds can be displayed in the block (and can also be disabled) for published newsletters. New subscriptions can also be imported and exported by an admin. Sending of mailings to large mailing lists is handled by cron (configurable).
