#582484: Initial port of Hierarchical Select to Drupal 7. Sponsored by http://pingv.com. · 0b031921
      Wim Leers authored
      This port includes:
      - Hierarchical Select's core functionality
      - The common config UI
      - Taxonomy integration (including configuration through the UI)
      - Flat List implementation
      - Small Hierarchy implementation

This port does NOT (yet!) include:
      - Menu integration
      - Taxonomy Views integration
      - "dropbox" support in HS core (and therefore not for any implementation)
      - "create new item" support in HS core (and therefore not for any implementation)
      - "save lineage" support for the Taxonomy integration
      - upgrade paths
      - any other Taxonomy integration functionality previously provided by HS in Drupal 6 (e.g. field formatters, token support, etc.)

Note that Content Taxonomy integration is now obsolete, because CCK is no more and Field API is now in core, and Taxonomy is a field. Hence, Content Taxonomy does not need to be ported!

Finally, finally, finally the time has come! The Drupal 5 branch of Hierarchical Select is so stable now, that only few additional commits will occur there. Which means I won't have to sync bugfixes all the time. So … this is the moment where I finally commit the patch that makes Hierarchical Select work in Drupal 6\!

      - New: you can now pass extra information that will be POSTed when you trigger the 'enforce-update' event.
-New: a 'disable-updates' event. When you trigger this event, you can handle updates of HS yourself.

The combination of these 2 features allows you to use a *different* form item to influence the presented hierarchy!
